BBQ Distro Top 10 Prediction Sweepstakes

1. Eligibility

The BBQ Distro Top 10 Prediction Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of BBQ Distro or Texas Monthly, and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, parent, child, sibling, or any person residing in the same household), are not eligible to enter or win. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

 

2. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM Central Time on April 14, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time on May 14, 2025 (“Sweepstakes Period”). Entries submitted before or after this period will not be eligible.

3. How to Enter

To enter, visit bbqdistro.com/top10 during the Sweepstakes Period and complete the official entry form. You must provide:

• Your prediction of the Top 10 BBQ Joints in Texas

• Your full name

• A valid email address

• Your ZIP code

Limit: One (1) entry per person. Entries must be submitted through the official online form. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win.

 

4. Winner Selection and Notification

One (1) potential winner will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received, during a live broadcast of the Tales from the Pits podcast on May 27, 2025.

The selected winner will be notified via the email address provided during entry within five (5) business days of the drawing. The potential winner must respond within seven (7) days of the notification. If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, or is disqualified for any reason, BBQ Distro reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

 

5. Prize

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive $2,500 in cash. The prize will be awarded via check, PayPal, or another secure payment method agreed upon by BBQ Distro and the winner.
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $2,500.

No substitution, transfer, or assignment of the prize is permitted. All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

 

6. Odds of Winning

The odds of winning are 1 in 10,000, based on the estimated number of entries received.

 

7. General Conditions

Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to BBQ Distro’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes.

BBQ Distro reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion, as determined in its sole discretion.

 

Any attempt by any participant to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law. BBQ Distro reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

8. Limitation of Liability and Release

By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless BBQ Distro, its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, and each of their respective directors, officers, and employees, as well as Texas Monthly, from any and all liability, loss, or damage incurred in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

 

9. Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to BBQ Distro’s Privacy Policy, available at bbqdistro.com/privacy. By entering this Sweepstakes, you consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with such policy.
